Specialized Library
The Library of CREDIF is the first mechanism established to promote research and documentation on women. It was created in 1990 when the CREDIF was founded.
Among its objectives:
Disseminate knowledge and information on women in Tunisia, in the Arab world, in Africa and in the world (through books, scientific journals, proceedings of the seminars…) and communicate them to researchers and the public
Foster scientific research on the issues of women and gender
Preserve women’s memory
Documentary services:
Ask the documents on the spot
Perform a bibliographical search using the base of tools of the following documentary research documentary databases, bibliographical catalogs, abstracts review, press kits
Elaborate the specialized documents on the issue related to women and gender themes
Provide a photocopy service for library users
Direct researchers and users towards the tools of documentary research and information sources available in other research and communication centers

Thematic press kit (CREDIF’s activities, 8 March International Day of Women, 13 August National Women Day, Tunisian Women and Revolution….) CREDIF’s publications (studies, research, bibliographies, catalogs…)
Tahar Haddad Library:
It is specialized Library on the Tunisian reformer Tahar Haddad. It was created by CREDIF in 1999. It is composed of different titles distributed as follows: Books by the author on their first edition, Letters and Poems by Tahar Haddad, audiovisual documents by author, documents of the reformist thoughts by Tahar Haddad, women’s emancipation, social reform in the time of colonization, social reform during colonization
Databases:
Bibliographic databases (in Arabic and French), monographs datatbase “Elyssa”, periodical database “Perio”, database “Theses and dissertation on gender in Tunisia”, “Legis” database of legislative textes related to Tunisian women.

Researchers and students, activists of gender and women’s rights, public
For all library subscription: a form to fill out and a copy of identity card
