Women’s Economic Empowerment

This axis aims to study the capacities of Tunisian businesswomen to develop specific strategies to deal with economic transformations, harness the available opportunities to face the difficulties and how to respond to the field requirement of investment and business management.

This theme concerns the most important repercussions on the sectors that most attract women, highlighting the capacity of the Tunisian economy to follow and anticipate these transformations, and analyzing the capacity of women investors in Tunisia to exploit available resources and opportunities, to look for new markets and use skills to devise new ways and employment opportunities.

In this context, CREDIF conducted in 2014 a study on the economic empowerment of women: employment and entrepreneurship and in 2020 a study of women’s jobs and local economic dynamism.
